International Council for Film, Television and Audiovisual Communication (ICFT)
International Council for Film, Television and Audiovisual Communication (ICFT), located at UNESCO HQ's in Paris, France, was founded at UNESCO's 10th session of General Conference in 1958.
ICFT has been functioning as advisory and executive agency to UNESCO, as well as a link between UNESCO and the civil society on all matters relating to film, television and new media by providing consultancy, professionals, talents and technical support. ICFT organizes international cultural, artistic and educational events, reinforces international exchange and cooperation, provide strategic direction, policy guidance and expert support for regional, national and local development. Programmes and activities have been carried out in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North and South America.
ICFT also holds a large and multidisciplinary network in the international environment, including public and private institutions from different working fields that apply actively audiovisual techniques and creation.
1st International Film Festival & Awards·Macau (IFFAM), December 8-13, 2016
The 1st International Film Festival & Awards·Macau (IFFAM) is organized by Macao Government Tourism Office and Macau Films & Television Productions and Culture Association (MFTPA).
The aim of the Festival is to raise awareness and promote the various aspects of Chinese-language, East Asian and international cinema in all its forms: as entertainment and as an industry, as art and as a tool of dialogue, in a spirit of freedom and exchange. As well as all the sections mentioned in the following paragraphs, the festival may include retrospectives and tributes to major figures as a contribution towards raising awareness of the history of cinema.
For the first ever edition of IFFAM, the organising committee has invited internationally renowned figures of the film industry to participate and support the IFFAM. The advisory board of experts is also providing professional opinions on how to enchance the international elements of the festival.
